So it's been a while since I put pen to paper... uh... finger to...key... but the summer of '05 has come and gone. Normally, when people ask me what I did this summer, I can quite matter-of-factly respond, "Not much". Then I thought about it:
- got into a huge fight about World Of Warcraft with the wife (without even playing it). Promised to NEVER, EVER play it.
- added a little, and I do mean a little, to my stupid little movie script (Deadline: December 31, 2005)
- went to the CNE with my brother, sister, Deb and Mark. We beat the crap out of last year's corn dog record (4 regulars, 6 supers), on TOP of other food
- watched as everyone around me got into World Of Warcraft while sticking to my promise
- despite gushing about having EVERY Saturday AND Sunday off in July and August, went to absolutely NO summer picnics
- did my best to not melt in a non-air conditioned apartment in mid-August (try not to think of me naked. too late.)
- resolved differences with Deb about World Of Warcraft. She released me from promise. Now heavily immersed in World Of Warcraft
-fought 2, count them 2, bouts of gout in August alone. Listened to Mom and Dad talk about the wonders of "Noni" for gout
- got Deb HOOKED on World Of Warcraft ["Look at it this way, I don't know WHO I can give this 10-day free trial to. You might as well get a sample of what the big deal is..." ;) ]
- spent most of my Sundays playing soccer with the regulars (you know who you are)
- this Sunday, going to "Summer's End" at Guvernment
- and last but not least, spent my first anniversary at a little inn in Ingersol with the woman I love. The best part? Not five minutes after the masseuses left our room following our couple's massage, Deb utilized the room's "complimentary high-speed internet" to play World Of Warcraft.
I took a picture for proof. God I love her.
And finally, an interesting fact and sign that the world is going stoopid:
This is absolutely true. I just read an article in NOW magazine about a new phone with an amazing new feature! It's the first phone with speech-to-text recognition!!! Translation: You can now talk into your phone and it converts your speech into text.... so you can text message you friends... on their phones... by talking into your phone!!! GAHHHH!!!
People are idiots.

Elm Hurst Inn
That was the inn we stayed at. It was a gift from a couple that we invited to our wedding. We thought we would save it for our first anniversary and it was great!asianturtle (the wife)
